Sourcing Impact Assessment

Switching from one contract style to another often involves much more than just redefining requirements. There can be a significant impact on your organisation by changing from an in-sourced model to an  outsourced one, or changing from traditional outsourced to As A Service.

Price Assurance examines if your Service fee is competitive in the market place – for equivalent services. It can be used to assess costs of your current externally provided Managed Services against the market. It can also be used to assess the cost of services provided with internal staff against the market.

Supplie Segmentation allows you to understand your mix of vendors and how best to manage them with limited resources.  It allows you to properly identify your Type One (most strategic) through to Type Four (tactical).  With this information you are able to develop a Supplier Management Plan allowing you to focus the most effort on Type One, then Type Two, Three and then Four.

Contract Alignment

Is your vendor contract best practice? Does it provide clarity of requirements and pricing? Does it provide contractual rigour, and yet at the same time allow for future flexibility of scope or growth? Contract Alignment reviews the contract terms, defined requirements, and pricing models and evaluates them against best practice.

Transition activities include many obligations of the vendor.  Effective transition includes meeting those obligations as well as establishing services. Transition Compliance services provides the mechanism to identify gaps in expectations that need to be addressed in order for the client to achieve its business objectives, and to establish a forum in which to bridge those gaps.

The Value Strategy methodology is about identifying the required extended services, measuring them and reviewing them frequently to ensure the combined vision is realised, trust held, and the  relationship built upon through the life of the contract.

VMIS (Vendor Management

Information System) reporting

provides significant insights allowing both customers and vendors to understand the multiple attributes that contribute to an effective contract outcome, and very importantly, take corrective action if required to bring the overall contract outcomes back on track.

SRO assesses overall design, capabilities and implementation of the sourcing arrangement to give answers around the questions “how effective is the sourcing arrangement?” and “where can it be

improved?” The overriding goal is to help “course correct” and evolve the vendor-customer relationship.

VMMA assesses your internal Vendor Management teams level of activities and compares them against a best practice target state.  A maturity assessment allows you to understand opportunities for improvement or change leading to enhanced vendor management outcomes.
